ON DEMAND SURVIVOR RESOURCES

Announcing:
Indefinite Pause for Courage 365

Dear Courageous Souls,

I have an important announcement to make about the future of Courage 365. Our organization is going on an indefinite pause so I can focus on my physical health.

The Courage 365 website will still be available where you can download our evergreen video trainings, e-books, and resources, but we will not be putting on any online events or courage clubs in the near future.

As many of you know in October 2024, I got very ill with my chronic autoimmune disease, Ulcerative Colitis. I’ve lived with this illness for many years, but October 2024 was by far the scariest timeframe for that illness. 2025 was filled with trying out new medications, fighting with insurance companies, trying to get in to see my good doctor and fighting to regain control of my health. I’ve made a lot of improvements, but I still have health battles and overall my body is tired and exhausted.

I want to thank you all from the depths of my heart for the kind support you have given to Courage 365… financially, volunteer wise or just giving your presence within the survivor community. I will always care about the cause of survivors. This is not to say I will not at some point restart this work, but I am stepping away at least for the time being to focus on my health.

I can confidently do this because I have seen so many leaders develop out of the Courage 365 community, leaders who are now moving forward with their own forms of advocacy. I am so proud of all of you!

I want to thank our board members past and present and all of the amazing volunteers and especially my husband and co-founder Will Easter. If I start naming people, I know that I would leave someone out. But, I want to thank each of you for your sacrificial and brilliant contributions to our survivor movement, Courage 365.

This movement was never about me, it was about us. Courage 365 was about supporting survivors and creating leaders who can impact the world with a message of hope, healing and justice.

Thank you for allowing me to serve you for this last decade. It’s been the honor of my life and I feel like I have completed what I was sent here on earth to do. This next chapter is about taking care of me.

  • In 2015, I began writing publicly about my life growing up in a cult. By 2016, that work evolved into action when we hosted the first Courage Conference for abuse survivors and advocates. The inaugural conference welcomed 120 people in person and an additional 80 participants via live stream.

After several years of hosting conferences, our work expanded online and formally became Courage 365. Over the past decade, we have served thousands of survivors.

Our impact has included in person events, support groups, digital resources, videos, and online programming. We have also provided life saving advocacy and support through phone calls, emails, and text messages.

It is an honor to say that our work has helped save lives, supporting individuals on the brink of suicide and those experiencing profound isolation and despair as survivors. We have participated in rallies, spoken with numerous media outlets, advised behind the scenes on television productions, and in 2024 Courage 365 was voted Most Innovative Service by Domestic Shelters and Alliance for Hope International.

In 2025, I was honored to receive the top humanitarian award from the David Chow Foundation.

I have poured my life and soul into the survivor community, but none of this would have been possible without my incredible husband, Will Easter, or the many volunteers and board members who have supported this work along the way.

  • I know the kindness of this community and that many of you will want to reach out after reading this statement.

If this is something you’d like to do please do so here in the contact form below, and not in my other inboxes.

I don’t have the same energy level I once did and having everything streamlined would help my overwhelm. This does not mean that those messages go unappreciated but please understand if I am unable to reply. My health has to come first these days.

Love + Light
